Excellent Job.

Marta was my tour guide and showed me an apartment after calling same day looking for an apartment. She was very informative and professional. Amy helped and answered any questions I had over the phone regarding my application and the status of my application. The office staff was very nice when i met them in person. The application and background check itself was very quick and easy. Their rent prices and offers they have for utilities are honestly super affordable. Amenities are very nice as well. They couldn’t have made my apartment hunting journey go any smoother. Edit: As of June 2026, I have lived here for a year. I cannot express how nice it is living here. Maintenance is always kind and helpful. I typically will always have any maintenance request I put in completed within a day or two. Office staff keeps everyone up to date with everything going on in the complex with emails which is very nice. The amenities are very nice and the landscaping of the complex is beautiful and always well maintained. They also occasionally have food trucks come out to the complex or have community gatherings at the pool. They do special events at the office for the holidays as well. This complex is truly outstanding. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about living here.

Cons: the location is not wonderful. The apartment is nestled away but still on the side of a highway. The area is not safetly walkable. All you hear is highway noise and airport noise. Many break-ins in the time we lived here, and there is a homeless camp on the side of the complex. The gate never works despite constant fixing. A lot of tenants do not seem to care about the property and leave trash piled up at the dumpster, and many people do not pick up their dog's feces. Our heater would crap out every winter, and the other appliances are clearly outdated and cheap. The apartments are okay for the price you pay, but I wouldn't expect anything fancy, even in the upgraded tiers. Pros: management is amazing, specifically Amy. She is reasonable, understanding, friendly and welcoming. We've lived in many apartment complexes and this is by far one of the best managed complexes we've been at. Maintenance is also wonderful, very timely and on top of eveything. Very friendly as well! Overall, not a bad option for Ladson if your looking for a budget-friendly option with standard amenities. If you value good management more than a pretty apartment or a great location, Ashton Woods is a good choice.
